Bella is a 27-story residential tower located in the North Beach area of Atlantic City, NJ. It contains 200 ultra luxury condominiums, 154 structured parking spaces and 2,400 square feet of convenience retail space. The building was originally developed by SDC in the late 1980’s for Caesars Atlantic City using money from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (“CDRA”). As part of the requirements for use of CDRA funds, the building had to be operated as a rental building for 15 years. At then end of that period, SDC purchased the building from Caesars for a fraction of its replacement cost and began a top to bottom luxury renovation of the building. It then reintroduced the project as for-sale luxury condominiums. This $100 million project has been extremely successful. It has been widely featured in the press and has been credited with sparking a residential renaissance in Atlantic City. It is currently approximately 75% sold out and continues to experience strong sales.
