At a time when there was little interest in casino-zoned land in Atlantic City, SDC put together a group of private investors to acquire land and complete a 20-acre land assemblage in the North Beach area of Atlantic City. This became one of the largest tracts of casino land ever assembled in Atlantic City. The site was sold to Morgan Stanley in May 2006 in an all cash transaction. Reports state that current plans are for Morgan Stanley to construct a $2 billion casino on the property – which sits adjacent to SDC’s Bella property.
